Models
Period_RDM_System The Period\_RDM\_System model is a minimal model for linking instances of Scheme to the correct authority records for the periods that fall within their contextual scope. Group_RDM_System The Group\_RDM\_System model allows the documentation of individuals who can be contributors to or creators of schema or concepts. Basic data regarding the name, identifiers and descriptions of these individuals are presently possible. Implemented in Arches inverse relations from their contributions will be traceable.  Digital_Object_RDM_System The Digital Object\_RDM\_System model allows the documentation of digital assets that support the documentation and explanation of instances of Concept. In the first instance it is envisioned to support the maintenance of image assets which illustrate concepts. Place_RDM_System The Place\_RDM\_System model is a minimal model for linking instances of Scheme to the correct authority records for the places that fall within their contextual scope. Person_RDM_System The Person\_RDM\_System model allows the documentation of individuals who can be contributors to or creators of schema or concepts. Basic data regarding the name, identifiers and descriptions of these individuals are presently possible. Implemented in Arches inverse relations from their contributions will be traceable.  Textual_Work_RDM_System The Textual Work\_RDM\_System model allows the documentation of sources as separate entities and their linking to one or more concepts or scheme. Scheme The Scheme model allows the creation and management of instances of authority data or vocabularies. Examples of these would be AAT maintained by the Getty Vocabulary Programme or the Archaeological Object Thesaurus maintained by English Heritage. One instance of the Scheme model should be created and managed per unique individual authority dataset or vocabulary. The Scheme data model allows the documentation of the Scheme’s names and identifiers including version number, its coverage, rights information and provenance data.  Person This model is an initial sketch of how to model authority records for person following the Lingo Linked.Art + strategy. It is not presently in use. Concept This is the core model of the Lingo semantic model project. The Concept model is where the majority of data curation and management is intended to occur. The concept model allows for the documentation of formally defined concepts in the sense of ISO 25964. It enables the temporally qualified and provenanced documentation of the labels/terms associated, associative and matching relations and hierarchical relations. Each concept is documented in relation to a Scheme as either a simple member or as a top concept. An instance of Concept’s overall provenance information can be documented and it can be linked to digital asset resources that illustrate it.
