Digital Document The digital object reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are typically present in the general description of a digital object in a cultural heritage data system. A digital object is meant in the sense of a digitally encoded information object represented as bit sequences that have been encoded with a particular format and can be digitally decoded and represented to an end user of a digital information system. Digital objects are often stored as reference or documentation objects relative to cultural heritage items such as textual descriptions stored as PDFs, documentary images, 3D representations and so on. Digital Objects can also form cultural heritage objects in their own right, though this model does not aim to represent this potential aspect of the digital object. Because of the choice to model, the digital object in its role as a secondary documentary resource, the reference data model has been kept as light as possible. This reference model intends to remain at a general level description, providing a consolidated, high-level reference data model of most commonly reused descriptors for a digital object and to provide for these, in turn, a set of standard semantic mappings to the CIDOC CRM. Moreover, each field is marked with regards to its potential functionality with regards to instance matching between overlapping datasets.  Having in Possession Property where someone holds on to someone or something for a period of time. GLBM.62_Digital Document
GLBM.62
Digital Document
digital_document
The digital object reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are typically present in the general description of a digital object in a cultural heritage data system.

The Voyage Reference Data Model provides a list of standard fields commonly found in general descriptions of a voyage. A voyage is interpreted here as a translocation event, in which physical objects or living beings move between locations—departing from one place, arriving at another, or intending to arrive at a destination (even if the arrival does not ultimately occur). The model also captures information about declared destinations, regardless of whether the voyage is completed. The scope of this reference model includes voyages documented in primary sources, internal or external databases, and other forms of documentation. Its purpose is to offer a high-level, generalized reference data model that consolidates the most commonly used descriptors of a voyage. Each field is annotated with its potential functionality and its role in enabling instance matching across overlapping datasets.

The physical information carrier reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are typically present in the general description of physical documents in a cultural heritage data system. The physical information carrier is taken here in the sense of a movable, physical item of some sort such as would be typically inventoried by a museum, archive or library. Specific documentation of elements of a physical information carrier depend highly upon the kind of document it is. This reference model does not intend to cover such specificities but to remain at a general level description, providing a consolidated, high-level reference data model of most commonly reused descriptors for a physical information carrier and to provide for these, in turn, a set of standard semantic mappings to the CIDOC CRM. Moreover, each field is marked with regards to its potential functionality with regards to instance matching between overlapping datasets.

GLBM.6_Occurrence
GLBM.6
Occurrence
occurrence
The occurrence reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are often found present in the general description of a occurrence of currency in documentation. Occurrence here is interpreted as the information provided about a currency in a particular document and its occurrence. The scope of entities that this reference model aims to cover are occurrences as typically documented in documents. Examples of occurrences would be one particular currency, such as Ducaton, in one specific document (source, page) at a date provided in a location given. The aim of this reference model is to cover basic descriptors that are typically employed in the documentation of a occurrence, usually by a document. This reference model aims to remain at a general level description, providing a consolidated, high-level reference data model of most commonly reused descriptors for a place as such and to provide for these, in turn, a set of standard semantic mappings to the CIDOC CRM. Moreover, each field is marked with regards to its potential functionality with regards to instance matching between overlapping datasets. This level of modelling is seen as a necessary basic reference point on which to build more complex documentation.

The Human made object reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are typically present in the general description of human made object in a physical object data system. The human made object is taken here in the sense of a movable, physical item of some sort such as would be typically inventoried by a museum, or any other database as a physical object. Specific documentation of elements of a human made object depend highly upon the kind of information provided and its relations. This reference model does not intend to cover such specificities but to remain at a general level description, providing a consolidated, high-level reference data model of most commonly reused descriptors for a human made object and to provide for these, in turn, a set of standard semantic mappings to the CIDOC CRM. Moreover, each field is marked with regards to its potential functionality with regards to instance matching between overlapping datasets.

GLBM.4
Conversion
conversion
The conversion reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are often found present in the general description of a conversion event and exchange value. Conversion here is interpreted as a Exchange Value used for the event of conversion, from one exchange unit with its value to another. The scope of entities that this reference model aims to cover are conversion as typically documented in archival information or numismatic information. Examples of conversion would be the event of exchanging 1 meter of silk (as exchange value in a conversion event 1 meter of silk = 0.5 pounds of gold) and its equivalence. The aim of this reference model is to cover basic descriptors that are typically employed in the documentation of a conversion, usually by a document. This reference model aims to remain at a general level description, providing a consolidated, high-level reference data model of most commonly reused descriptors for a currency as such and to provide for these, in turn, a set of standard semantic mappings to the CIDOC CRM. Moreover, each field is marked with regards to its potential functionality with regards to instance matching between overlapping datasets. This level of modelling is seen as a necessary basic reference point on which to build more complex documentation.

place
The place reference data model provides a list of standard fields that are often found present in the general description of a place. Place here is interpreted as a geometric extent used for locating entities relative to a reference space. The scope of entities that this reference model aims to cover are places as typically documented in gazetteers. Examples of places would be Edmonton (the inhabited city), Alberta (the administrative district), Canada (the country). The aim of this reference model is to cover basic descriptors that are typically employed in the documentation of a place, usually by a gazetteer. This reference model aims to remain at a general level description, providing a consolidated, high-level reference data model of most commonly reused descriptors for a place as such and to provide for these, in turn, a set of standard semantic mappings to the CIDOC CRM. GLBM.79_Rulership
GLBM.79
Rulership
rulership
The Rulership Reference Data Model provides a list of standard fields commonly found in general descriptions of a rulership. In this context, rulership is understood as the governing authority within a polity—typically the head of control—associated with a specific territory or location, and valid within a defined timespan. The model also includes information such as descriptions, sources, names, as well as details about predecessors and successors. A rulership refers to the dynasty or ruling entity that holds power, and it may encompass multiple reigns within its duration. The scope of this reference model includes rulerships documented in primary and secondary sources. Its goal is to provide a high-level, consolidated reference data model that captures the most commonly reused descriptors of a rulership. Each field is annotated with its potential functionality and its role in enabling instance matching across overlapping datasets.
